"Lindora Care...Everywhere" Philosophy
Lindora's care philosophy is reflected in our mission statement:
"Our mission is to make a positive difference in the health and the lives of as many people as possible by providing the most comprehensive weight control program available anywhere.
We accomplish this mission through trained professionals who are dedicated to the principles of quality care, integrity and compassion.
We are committed to promoting good health and longevity by teaching people to be Lean for Life®."
Comprehensive Care and Support
Lindora's programs reflect the complex and chronic nature of obesity. The Lean for Life Program has been developed and implemented utilizing a multi-faceted physiological, behavioral and cognitive approach to weight loss and long term weight management rather than traditional short term "diet" therapy. Lindora stresses that once a person becomes a Lindora client, he or she becomes a member of the Lindora family for life.
Innovation and Leadership
At Lindora Medical Clinics, Lindora, Inc. pioneered the use of electronic client records, developing a proprietary system in 1990 that prompts clinicians on treatment protocols while capturing client visit data, as well as monitoring all financial transactions. Lindora's fourteen-year electronic client base contains the history of more than 180,000 patients and millions of client visits. Lindora is able to leverage the ongoing efforts of its staff, its high client throughput, and unequalled database to continually improve service levels in order to maintain its reputation as the "gold standard" in the industry.
Lindora most recently launched the cutting-edge Metabolic Fitness Treatment Program™. Pioneered by the Lindora medical team and clinical research staff, this exciting new program uses a state-of-the-art testing and diagnostics tool - the Metabolic Fitness Quotient™ (MFQ™) - to create a unique evaluation of your risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, abnormal cholesterol levels, metabolic syndrome, and other preventable diseases. This new treatment program features the VAP Test, an expanded cholesterol screening cited by The Wall Street Journal as one of the "five tests worth paying for...that can save your life."
Lindora's medical staff and corporate principals are regular presenters at the Harvard Obesity Conference and at meetings of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and the North American Society for the Study of Obesity.
Company Growth
By staying focused on Lindora's mission to provide scientifically based, clinically effective programs that always place the safety and success of its clients first, Lindora management has created a company that enjoys a high degree of clinical credibility, strong regional brand recognition, and a substantial base of intellectual property, including
computerized records, proprietary clinician software, books, trademarks and other distinctive assets that form a foundation for national expansion. Lindora is now building on that foundation to assume its leadership position in the treatment of obesity.
A "Relationship Focused" Company
Lindora is a "relationship focused" company. The concept of building and maintaining strong relationships with employees, customers and the community is such an intregal part of how Lindora operates that the phrase "relationship focused" is part of Lindora's business definition. The company recognizes that the ability to forge strong relationships is a sustainable competitive advantage.
Lindora supports it's employees through comprehensive training programs, twice yearly "Learning Festivals", financial assistance programs for education, an open door policy and access to top management, innovative performance-based compensation packages, and flexible work schedules that meet the needs of its predominantly female workforce.
Community Involvement
Since 1994, Lindora has underwritten the Lean for Life® Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes obesity research and educational programs, and funds weight control services to selected low-income, morbidly obese men, women, and children. Several program recipients have received national media attention and become an inspiration to people throughout the world by sharing their success stories.
Lindora is committed to fighting malnutrition in all its forms. It is our company policy to donate food from all large corporate events to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Holiday food drives conducted throughout the Lindora clinic network also benefit the Second Harvest Food Banks throughout Southern California.
Lindora has generously supported Girls Inc., Children's Hospital of Orange County, Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, California AIDS Ride, the American Heart Association, National Charity League, Salvation Army and scholarship programs at California State University-Long Beach. Over the past decade, Lindora has also sponsored numerous food, clothing, and toy drives for various humanitarian service organizations. Clients are encouraged to donate their "fat clothes" to homeless shelters and organizations serving victims of natural disasters. Through these and other programs, many thousands of people have benefited from the generosity of Lindora staff and clients.
